Restaurant Near Blenheim Palace
You've visited Blenheim Palace, walked the State Rooms, and wandered the Capability Brown parkland. Now you're hungry — and good news is that one of Oxfordshire's best-loved Italian restaurants is a short few-minute stroll from Blenheim Palace's town gates. Brothertons Brasserie sits at 1 High Street, right in the heart of Woodstock, a family-run brasserie that has been feeding Blenheim's visitors and Woodstock's locals since 2000. Now sit down to handmade pasta, stone-baked pizza and a glass of Italian wine.
A DAY AT THE PALACE DESERVES A PROPER TABLE.
Why Blenheim Visitors Choose Brothertons
Brothertons has been the town's Italian brasserie since 2000 — a warren of cosy rooms, a lively bar and a pavement terrace we call our little Italian side street, all inside a Grade II listed building on the High Street.
We're genuinely close
No car needed, no taxi to call. From the palace's Woodstock Gate exit you can be seated with a glass of wine in hand within five minutes — and if you've parked in the town, we're closer still.
Made from scratch, every morning
Our menu of Italian bistro classics is prepared in-house daily by our kitchen team, headed by chef Giovanni. The pasta is handmade, the pizza bases are rolled fresh every morning, and the specials board depends on what the fishmonger and butcher delivered that day.
Sourced from the street you're on
Our meat comes from Woodstock Butchers and our vegetables from Woodstock Grocers, topped up by producers across Oxfordshire and the Cotswolds. When we say local, we mean a few doors down.
A table for every kind of visit
A quick pizza and a coffee between palace and gardens. A long lunch on our pavement terrace — our own "little Italian side street" — watching Woodstock go by. A celebratory dinner in the vaulted cellar. Or simply an Aperol spritz at the bar while you rest your feet.

Dinner Near Blenheim Palace
Staying overnight in Woodstock, or lingering after one of Blenheim's evening events? We serve dinner from 6:00pm daily, with last orders at 9:30pm.
Evenings at Brothertons are when the brasserie comes into its own: gas-lantern glow, a busy bar, a wine list that travels the length of Italy, and cocktails to start or finish the night. On Wednesday evenings from 6pm, guitarist Geoff J. Tooley plays live while you dine.
Dinner books up quickly in peak season — especially on weekends and during Blenheim's major events, from the Horse Trials to the Christmas lights trail. We strongly recommend reserving ahead.

Make a Day of It in Woodstock
Blenheim Palace may be the headline act, but Woodstock rewards a longer stay. Browse the town's independent shops and galleries, visit the Oxfordshire Museum, and see the church at nearby Bladon where Sir Winston Churchill is buried. Our guides to [things to do in Woodstock] and [Woodstock's hidden gems] will help you plan the perfect day — with lunch or dinner at Brothertons in the middle of it.
